LIVING HISTORY

Immerse yourself

Our living history interpreter and reenactors take you all the way back to the 1840s - and that's a fur piece.  Visit the Red River Trading Post, a re-creation of a structure that once stood about 50 miles southeast of the museum.  It's a hoot.

The Trading Post operates Tuesday through Saturday througout the year, weather permitting.

Support for the Museum of the Great Plains provided in part by the City of Lawton and the City of Lawton Hotel-Motel Tax Fund.
